For corporate entertainment and team building, dynamic companies around the world in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and Africa, have been jumping on to a new trend in order to bring their sales meetings, conferences and company gatherings to life. Drums and drumming are a great way to break down barriers, create common ground and teach people the value of listening and learning together.

A little more than fun

We at Network Dynamics offer a wide range of teambuilding activities and whilst we have fun developing these activities we see these team builds as an opportunity for delegates to learn about themselves, their colleagues and their organizations.

Kalavati offers team building workshops and coaching using indoor or outdoor activities to bring real life into a safe space. This allows team members to engage in the inner, relational and leadership work required for effective team work. Kalavati integrates action, practice and reflective learning to ensure long lasting changes in team work and team performance.

Kalavati facilitates a high level of team performance and learning and uses a 6 Step Approach:
o Purpose Mode: Relationship to personal & team purpose and meaning. When the why is clear, the how becomes apparent.
o Action Mode: Individual and team attitudes to tasks, actions and patterns of behavior. This looks at your instinctive, creative way of getting things done.
o People Mode: Individual and team attitudes and patterns of behavior with each other; and with other teams.
o Team roles: Like the holographic principle, - the roles that exist in the world show up in teams. The role is bigger than you are, yet you are bigger than the role.
o Interpersonal Skills: Developing your ability to listen, communicate, be assertive and handle conflict is part emotional intelligence and part a skill building process.
o Change and Stress Modes: Individuals learn to embrace change and increase their stress threshold. This allows for optimal stretch towards goals without damage to the person.

Change in any team or company is stressful for team members. The psychological affect of stress has negative impacts on employee productivity and performance. Yet change and stress can grow emotional intelligence. It is vital for managers to understand how to manage change and stress in a way that enhances people. Learn more about stress and change.

Safety first

When planning physical activities, these considerations should be addressed: indemnity forms explaining any risks, insurance, first aid and access to medical care, the experience of the staff facilitating the events/games, setup time required, and dismantling of equipment. Check with the venue about using external service providers - you do not want to be held liable for damage to property.
